Glendale Tiaras Around Town!!
meet for dinner at 7pm with Wild Boomer Women.
THIS WAS WRITTEN BY YOUR HOST JERI

Since June 12, 2012, Tiaras around Town in Glendale has been going strong.  Originally meeting at Next Coffee, the event known as Tuesday Bluesday has exploded in size, length, and quality and now meets at Padre Murphy's (http://www.padremurphy.com).

The Tiaras around Town group begins to gather around 7:00 p.m.  That allows time to visit and dine before the music begins at 8:00 p.m.  Our host, Jeri, reserves an area for members and guests so that you can arrive at any time and still get a seat and have dinner if you desire.  The music lasts until 10:00 p.m., but you can arrive and leave at any time.

Tuesday Bluesday is a jam, which means that there is a host band that allows any guests to play music with them.  In this case the host band is the Next Band, comprised of Tom Mein, guitarist; Rich Alfano, bass guitarist; and John Rumbaugh, drummer.  All types of music are accepted; the main genres you will hear are jazz and blues.  All types of performers are accepted; you will hear professionals and beginners alike.

Tom Mein is an exceptional jam host.  You will be impressed with his ability to combine performers into ensembles, make everyone sound better with his excellent guitar skills, treat everyone with respect, and keep the place hoppin’!  Please consider leaving a tip to support local live music.

Tiaras around Town in Glendale provides a great opportunity for west-side members to get to know each other better, and to share contact information in order to plan other events together.  But you don’t have to live on the west side - there are regular attendees who drive quite a distance for the great music you will hear every Tuesday night!

One of the regular attendees at the jam is Matt Marn, a freelance journalist, who has written a blog article about Tuesday Bluesday.  You can enjoy reading it here: http://marnmatt77.blogspot.com/2012/08/tuesday-bluesday2.html.  (Used with permission)

Tuesday Bluesday has a You Tube channel.  Check it out here to hear samples of the great music: http://www.youtube.com/user/tuesdaybluesdays?feature=results_main
