Saturday, May 25, 2019: Fly to Dublin, Ireland

Sunday, May 26: check into our hotel located in the very heart of Dublin City, near pedestrianized Grafton Street with its many shops and restaurants. The rest of the day is free to browse this 1000-year-old city on your own. Welcome dinner and overnight at Camden Court Hotel.

Monday, May 27: Dublin-Powerscourt-Glendalough-Kinsale. Powerscourt Gardens dates back to  1731 and include a walled garden, fish pond, cascades, grottos and terraces. We then make our way to the Wicklow Mountains where the film P.S. I Love You was filmed. Next stop at Glendalough, then on to Kinsale, one of the most picturesque, popular and fashionable seaside resorts. We arrive with plenty of time to explore this artist haven and the gourmet center of southwest Ireland.  Overnight at McDonald's Hotel Kinsale. 

Tuesday, May 28:Kinsale-Cobh-Kinsale. In Cobh you can take an optional visit to The Cobh Heritage Center where emigration from Ireland to the US took place in the mid-1800’s.  We stop at The English Market (a foodie heaven) for lunch and some shopping. Next, A stop at Charles Fort, constructed in the late 17th century and Desmond Castle, (French Prison). Back at our hotel you have time to explore this area for a fabulous dinner. Overnight McDonald's Hotel Kinsale.

Wednesday, May 29:  Kinsale-Cashel-Ennis. We visit the impressive Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland's most spectacular landmarks with a  large Cathedral, ancient round tower and the Romanesque Cormac's Chapel, perched on a dramatic outcrop of rock, Next, we make our way to the town of Ennis. Overnight at the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis.   

Thursday, May 30: Ennis-Dingle-Ennis. Experience the true beauty of Ireland on this full day tour to the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula.  Stop in the fishing village of Dingle before heading out to Slea Head and the ominous views of The Blasket Islands, then a stop in town for lunch. Overnight at the Old Ground Hotel, Ennis.    

Friday, May 31:   Ennis-Cliffs of Moher-Dromoland Castle. We leave Ennis for a tour of Ireland’s stony place - the Burren.  It is home to rare alpine plants that grow in the thin soil and crevices. The Burren contains dozens of megalithic tombs, Celtic crosses and a ruined Cistercian Abbey dating from the 12th century, Corcomroe.  Next we arrive at the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher,  a spectacular natural phenomenon which rise 660 feet above the Atlantic.  Then on to Dromoland Castle. This Estate dates to the 13th century.  Plenty of time this afternoon to enjoy the many amenities including golf, horseback riding, skeet shooting, tennis or fishing or  rejuvenate yourself in the state-of-the-art spa/health center or walk among the three million species of shrubs, trees and flowers that the spectacular gardens have to offer.  Overnight at Dromoland Castle. 

Saturday, June 1: Dublin. We depart Dromoland Castle at noon and  arrive in Dublin where we enjoy a visit to the Jamison Distillery. Check into our hotel and time to explore more of Dublin. Farewell dinner and overnight at the Royal Marine Hotel.

Sunday, June 2: Fly home from Dublin or to Edinburgh, Scotland for the after trip.

2:00 – 4:30 PM: Introduction to Edinburgh Castle and adjacent Royal Mile Private Tour: A two and a half hour Private walking Tour. Starting at the west door of the High Kirk of St Giles we explore the closes of the Lawnmarket before the Castlehill and Castle Esplanade. Outside St Giles, Parliament Square, City Chambers Courtyard, Royal Mile westward. A guided tour round all the main attractions in the castle is provided after which clients may wish further time in the castle for personal exploration. Monday Jun 3, 2019 - 9:00 AM ( 7 hours): Stirling Castle and the Trossachs (The Highlands in minature): Edinburgh to Stirling Castle, Visit Stirling Castle, Travel to Aberfoyle Lunch (at extra cost), Drive through The Trossachs, visit Loch Katrine, Travel to Kilmahog, Return to Edinburgh. Wednesday, Jun 5, 2019 - 9:30 AM ( 6 hours): St Andrews - not just for Golfers:  Tour town of St Andrews visiting The Old Course, The Golf Museum, St Salvator's College, St Andrews Castle, St Andrews Cathedral ruins. With photo stops at Swilken Bridge, R and A Clubhouse, Gregorie's Meridian Line, Musea, and outside Town the Kingsbarns Distillery. Lunch stop at Clubhouse adjacent to Old and New courses or at the Kingsbarns Distillery. Return to Edinburgh. WHAT'S EXTRA: Meals and any personal purchase, Optional Kingsbarns Distillery one hour tour (approx. $13) per person, Entrance to British Golf Museum (approx. $9)
