We will have our own personal guide WBW Bonnie who is one of the few lifetime members of the Arabian Horse Association, having bred horses since 1965. She will tell us everything that is going on from an expert's point of view.
We'll meet Inside the front gate - look for the woman under the tiara - just buy the regular $10 seats, not the box seats.
Dress for cooler temps at night as the arenas are open, and wear comfy, closed toed shoes in case you step on horse shit!
The 56th Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show and Shopping Expo is scheduled for February 17-27, 2011.
Billed as the largest event of its kind in the world, the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is held at WestWorld in north Scottsdale and attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators. In addition to exciting competitions, gala parties, educational seminars and an international cuisine court, the event features more than 300 vendor booths, offering everything from lavish jewelry, clothing and works of art.
The horse show is fun for the whole family. You can take a tour of the barns and see the most beautiful Arabian stallions. Then gather at the show ring for the judging. You'll see Arabian horses western style, english style and, finally, with their riders in colorful Arabian costume.
It is the largest Arabian show in the world and a must-see event.
