If you haven't visited the Biosphere 2 (recently or at all), now is the opportunity to do so.  Let's meet at the Sprouts Farmer Market parking lot at 7665 N Oracle Rd at 9:30 a.m., and then carpool out to the Biosphere.  They are open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day.  Once we have arrived, we will get scheduled for a guided tour of the biomes.  There are stairs and steep terrain, so it is not accessible for wheelchairs, walkers or strollers.  Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and light clothing as the temperatures inside the dome can be warm & humid.  Photos & videos are encouraged.

The cost of admission is $20.  There are some discounts for AAA members, military, students, etc.  You may also pick up coupons at some of the local hotels for $1 to $2 off.  There is a cafe inside should you wish to purchase light snacks or drinks.  You may bring bottled water, but any other food is prohibited.

Your entry into the Biosphere is led by a tour guide who takes you inside and under the glass. The beautiful trail system takes you on a once in a lifetime tour that lets you smell our ocean and see a tropical Rainforest up close. In addition to escorting you through the upper Biomes, your interpretive tour guide takes you through the basement “technosphere” and into the amazing lungs that help the Biosphere system breathe.
